Struggling to Pass!

The first course I took while doing a Masters was People Organisations and Leadership (POL) It required a number of assignments culminating in an exam at the end. I did quite well in my assignments, especially the one requiring first hand business and staff management experience. I draw from practical insights accumulated from years of experience at the Singing Studio. Result came through … high distinction … WOW … GREAT!

The exam was a different story. I spent a ridiculously huge amount of effort preparing for it. The combined assignment and exam scores saw my just scrapping in with a pass. It was the high assignment marks that pushed me over the pass line. I must have done really bad in the exam! It didn’t make any sense … I studied heaps!

I continued to study hard and walked out of the next exam for the next course called Accounting for Management wondering if I would even pass. To add to my anxiety,  I wouldn’t know the results until Uni resumed after summer holidays the following year. I had however a question to ask. What was wrong with me?
