How Do You Measure The Success Of An Event?

The question was asked on LinkedIn recently “When Do You Consider Your Event a Success”.

My answer was:

The event is a success if the CEO of the associations I work for are impressed. The events I manage are fundraising events, therefore 1) raising significant funds, 2) increasing charity’s awareness, 3) attendees having a great (fun) time, and lastly 4) experiencing a well run event, are what I consider key success factors. In addition, recently I managed a Cocktail Gala for a charity who consider themselves an online organisation. Having an opportunity to physically engage their supporters in an event that leaves a positive lasting impression is important.
